BHG - This time of year, in the centre of Quang Binh District, crepe myrtle (Tuong Vi) flowers bloom brilliantly, showing off all their shimmering colours, weaving a poetic, beautiful scene, amidst the blue sky, attracting people from all over.
The planting and development project for crepe myrtle flowers, associated with urban beautification and tourism development, was implemented by Quang Binh District in 2022. After two years of implementation, the planting of crepe myrtle flowers has been widely spread throughout the agencies, units, communes, towns and villages, residential groups, and households.
The district has planted 59,471 trees featuringmany colours, with the red dragon-colouredflower largely interspersed with bougainvillaea, hibiscus, and roses.
Along the dual carriageway, the green park, and the district's central square, the flowers are blooming beautifully. The district is expected to organise a Crepe Myrtle Festival with tourism activities during the flowering season next year, creating a highlight to attract tourists and building a bright, green, clean and beautiful environmental landscape.
