Chairman of Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son inspects progress of someprojects in Bac Me

BHG - Chairman of Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son inspected the progress of a number of investment projects in Bac Me Districton the morning of May 30. He was accompanied by leaders of a number of departments and sectors as well as Bac Me District.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son examined the project of upgrading and concreting the road from Tan Khau Village in Phu Nam Commune to the slope 700 of National Highway 280 in Duong Am Commune. The project has a total length of over 8.4 km and is designed according to technical standards of aclass-B mountainous road. It has a total investment of over 34.9 billion VND. So far, the project progress is guaranteed according to the contract while the contractor is constructing the crushed stone foundation from Km6 to the end of the route.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also checked the belt road on the southern bank of the Gam River, from Lac Nong Commune to Don Dien Village, Yen Cuong Commune. The route has a total length of over 8.2km, including over 2.1km in the first phase of the project and over 6km in the second phase of the project. In the second phase of the project,the scale and technical parameters are mainly implemented according to standards set forclass-A rural and mountainous roads. In this phase, two new bridges will be built in addition to the building of a complete road signaling system. The project has a total investment of over 189.9 billion VND. The measuring of land and mapping of land acquisition to conduct the project have been basically completed while relevant units are counting architectural objects on the land to pay compensations for households according to regulations within the first phase of the project.

Through the inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son requested Bac Me District to focus on clarifying the appraisal and specific allocation of capital sources for the implementation of the project, ensuring sufficient capital allocation according to the roadmap. The district shouldcoordinate with other departments, sectors and agencies in the province to promptly remove difficulties during the implementation of projects under the three national target programmes in addition to proposing solutions to problems beyond authority. In addition, investors need to urge contractors to work overtime and make efforts to overcome weather challenges to arrange human and material resources to build construction items in accordance with the unusual climate in the district in order to speed up the assigned progress and ensure the best disbursement results. Furthermore,departments and sectors should guide the district on utilising stone materials at construction sites to ease theshortage ofmaterialsin the locality.
