BHG - After 4 years of implementing the resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, the agricultural sector in Ha Giang has made strong progress, with 2 out of 4 targets reaching and exceeding the plan and the remaining 2 targets reaching from 95.4% to 98.3%.
BHG - The cultivation of Ha Giang’s Shan Tuyet tea has three tea crops each year, producing many types of finished teas, such as green tea, black tea, white tea, and fermented tea. Each type has its own flavour profile and characteristics, creating a special attraction for ancient Shan Tuyet tea.
BHG - Since the start of the year, three agricultural products of Xin Man District have met the standards for export to the Japanese market, which is a highlight of the district’s agricultural sector.

BHG - In the border commune of Chi Ca (Xin Man District), seedless persimmons are in harvest season, covering the mountain slopes in brilliant yellow. With a total planting area spanning nearly 34 hectares, only around 4 hectares of persimmons have been harvested. Chi Ca Commune is making efforts to preserve and develop seedless persimmons, of which Chi Ca Ha Village is the location with the largest number of plants.
BHG - Xin Man District has taken advantage of its cool weather and a stable coldwater source to implement a project to raise coldwater fish in Quang Nguyen, Na Chi and Nam Dan Communes.
BHG - In recent years, Dong Van District has made significant efforts to create job opportunities for locals through numerous programmes. With a large labour force and high demand from companies and enterprises, these initiatives have helped many local people find suitable jobs, contributing to the locality's socio-economic development.
BHG - Na Khe is a border commune of Yen Minh District, more than 20 kilometres from the district centre. The commune has three border villages: Na Po, Ban Rao, and Seo Ho, with 229 households.
BHG - From a small-scale breeding household, Vang Mi Danh, based in Pac Ngam Village, Lao Va Chai Commune, Yen Minh District, began to focus on expanding the model of raising buffaloes and cows to sell meat since 2008. With experience in raising cattle and veterinary knowledge, he often went to livestock markets within and outside the district to buy skinny buffaloes and cows and hired people to take care of them and fatten them up with rice bran and corn flour. Each purchased cattle, after 3-6 months of fattening, could be sold for a profit of 2-5 million VND per head. At times, his family’s herd of buffaloes and cows reached 20-30 heads.
BHG - In recent times,becoming an important bridge in economic development, cooperatives in Xin Man District have played a positive role in promoting the development of agricultural production in the direction of goods, bringing stable incomes to the people.
BHG - Lung Pu black pig farming’s accordance to biosafety practices is an important direction that is being promoted by Meo Vac District to foster sustainable pig farming, increase income for farmers, and maintain the Lung Pu black pig brand.
BHG - With the advantage of convenient transportation due to being located on Provincial Road 177, connecting Bac Quang District with Hoang Su Phi and Xin Man districts, along with favourable conditions of soil, climate, and abundant human resources, Nam Dich Commune is one of the three communes included in the plan to complete goals of new-style rural area building in the 2020 - 2025 period of Hoang Su Phi District.
BHG - AS of the end of July 2024, the whole of Ha Giang Province has planted more than 26,000 hectares of Summer-Autumn crops, reaching more than 93% of the 2024 plan —an increase of nearly 10% compared to the same period in 2023.
BHG - As many as 30 hectares of custard apples in the residential areas No.6, 7, 8 and 9 in Quang Trung Ward (Ha Giang City) are entering the harvest season. This year, the custard apple crop has been abundant with good quality, beautiful appearance, and stable prices ranging from 50,000 to 90,000 VND per kilogramme, depending on the type. The estimated yield is around 100 tonnes. The harvest season extends from July to November, bringing joy to farmers with increased income. Quang Trung rocky mountain custard apples have become a well-received market brand.
BHG - The Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee has just held a conference to assess the agricultural and forestry production situation in the first six months of the year and deploy tasks for the second half of 2024. Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Gia Long chaired the conference.
