The exhibits, created by professional and amateur painters, were selected from the propaganda poster contest, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
The exhibition is an opportunity to honour the historic victory and aims to mobilise the whole army and people to strive to make many achievements during peacetime.
According to the Vice Director of the Grassroots Culture Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Quoc Huy, the exhibits highlight the significance and historical values of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, as well as affirming the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, and the spirit of great unity of Vietnamese people.
The exhibition also aims to honour and pay respects to those who sacrificed their blood and lives for the cause of national liberation and reunification, thereby educating the patriotic, revolutionary heroism and the will to fight and win under the spirit of the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
The event will last until the end of April.
In addition to Dien Bien, the propaganda posters are exhibited in the northern provinces of Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho.
